‘Emily in Paris’ Is Even Popular Among NHL Hockey Players—Watch the Viral TikTok Video

Thanks to Emily in Paris, one NHL team just blessed TikTok with the year’s most wholesome hot mic footage.

On December 23, the Buffalo Sabres’ social media team shared footage of Jeff Skinner telling another player about his “favorite” show, Emily In Paris. Yes, the Netflix series following Emily Cooper’s career and romantic misadventures in France featuring pretty people, prettier clothes, and a protagonist who is bad at her job.

“There’s a new season coming out,” Skinner excitedly tells teammate Mattias Samuelsson. “This season she gets bangs!” Wait until Skinner hears that season three is already on Netflix!

The video has racked up nearly half a million views and 43.9 thousand likes. One TikTok user referred to Skinner as “the Tom Holland of the NHL” while another wrote, “I’m not a fan of Emily in Paris nor do I know who this man is BUT WHEN I TELL YOU I LOVE HIM…I’m not lying.”

Even Lilly Collins, the Emily Cooper, saw the video. “Well this is one @emilyinparis crossover I wasn’t expecting,” she wrote on Instagram alongside the video. The official Emily in Paris Instagram account replied, “put me in coach 🏒.”

“Jeff Skinner is the most adorable hockey player ever,” another TikTok user replied, and I’m going to have to agree. Blah blah, the bar’s on the floor, blah… Save it. His excitement is genuinely sweet and I will not be shamed for enjoying this small victory against toxic masculinity in sports.

Emily in Paris season three is currently available on Netflix.
